Bush Walk
In snow, rabbit tracks
braid themselves into
a temporary path—
say, quietly, Follow me.
Longing
A shimmer, desire that skims
from ankle, to back of knee.
Then, along slope of thigh and hips.
Over curve of belly, between breasts.
A shiver, tracing stretch of skin.
Finger painting stars.
Stroller
Ancient, this Dublin woman
pushes the pram around a
Christchurch corner. Peek in,
shocked. See that she guards a purse,
vintage red alligator with a
sharply geometric gold snap.
Radio Silence
She turns shoulder to void.
Fills one night with a pint,
scallops from off the coast of Clare.
Flirts with the barman, walks down
the shore to sea. Tastes salt on
kissed lips. Rejoices.
