Border
Soul
If you think ignorance is bliss, try anonymity. Try a quicker
stitch which gets the job done and releases you into the fraying crowd. Try
turning the night sky in your dreams into an oil-soaked rag and burning the
dream itself away. What creator? Is it or are they the memories that don’t have
to come together? Then yes, god is my preoccupation, and no, it’s not my job to
put god together either.
You’re eating at a restaurant and a hand comes bringing the
candles out. Beneath your conversation. A ghost is that, a border soul is that.
Remembering what you’re looking at in the face. Utterly forgetting the waiter.
